The Study of Criminal Motivation and Crime Prevention of Offenders
Individuals' motivation to commit crime is often influenced by a confluence of factors such as mental health, emotional needs, economic status, social environment and family background. In addition, social factors such as social inequality, poverty, unemployment and social exclusion also play an important role in the formation of criminal motivation. Theoretical Investigation on Spiro-cyclisation of Maleimide and Sulfonamide Catalyzed by Pd(II) via Activated γ-C(sp3)−H to Spiro Pyrrolidine
Our DFT calculation provided the first theoretical investigation on Pd(OAc)2-catalyzed spiro cyclisation of sulfonamide with maleimide. Initially, Pd(OAc)2 is coordinated with quinoline leading to first N-Pd bond. Subsequently, via coordination of sulfonamide to Pd, the second N-Pd bond is generated after liberation of first acetic acid AcOH. Then C-Pd bond is formed by activation of γ-C(sp3)−H bond during formation of key five-membered ring intermediate together with leaving of second AcOH.…

How to View Qualitative Research and Quantitative Research?
This study aims to compare the applications and impacts of quantitative and qualitative research in the social sciences. Quantitative research, through the collection and statistical analysis of numerical data, can provide objective and reproducible results, making it suitable for large sample studies and hypothesis testing. Its strengths lie in the ability to conduct broad comparisons and inferences through quantitative indicators, while its limitations may include overlooking complex…

A Herpesvirus Relapse, After a L-arginine Overload as a Possible Trigger, and the Therapeutic Use of Its Antagonist Competitor L-lysine: Brief Review and Case Report
Introduction: Arginine may be associated with the latent herpesvirus reactivation and L-lysine has been shown to inhibit certain viral replication phases by antagonizing arginine.
Case Presentation: Man with latent HHV-1 experienced work-related stress but only after an arginine overloud, an initial recurrent labial herpes was observed. A loading dose of L-lysine was prescribed that day, followed by a maintenance dose for 30 days. Arginine-rich…

The Impact of Future Time Perspective on Learning Engagement: The Indirect Effect of Self-Efficacy
This study investigates the mechanism by which college students' Future Time Perspective influences their Learning Engagement. We conducted a survey with 550 Chinese undergraduates using three reliable and valid scales measuring Future Time Perspective, Learning Engagement, and Self-Efficacy. The results revealed that: (1) Future Time Perspective significantly and positively predicts Learning Engagement; (2) Self-Efficacy positively predicts Learning Engagement; and (3) Future Time…
