Dr. Ayodele Akinterinwa is a senior lecturer in the field of industrial and environmental chemistry at Modibbo Adama University, Nigeria. He has broad experience with materials and methods for detecting and treating wastewater and recovering pollutants. He has also guided several student projects focused on creating functional materials from inexpensive or waste resources, and regularly reviews for academic journals and publishers.

• His research centers on developing functional materials from low-cost or waste feedstocks, including biomass-derived adsorbents, medicated shampoo from local coal tar, and biomass-based surfactants. He is also working of waste management, as well as the development of novel environmental conscious materials. His graduate work involved synthesizing tailored functional materials and designing experiments for wastewater detection, remediation, and pollutant recovery. He is also skilled in data analysis using multiple software tools.
