I am Khalid A. Hussein, a Full Professor at the Botany & Microbiology Department, Assiut University, Egypt. I earned my Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology from the University of Kangwon, South Korea; under the title: "Siderophores Biosynthesis, Indol Acetic Acid Production, and Phosphate Solubilization by Rhizosphere Microorganisms and Their Ability to Enhance Plant Growth".
I published in numerous international journals (Approx. 40 papers) and presented at numerous international scientific meetings worldwide. My fascination with fungi was already inspired by my M.Sc. thesis carried out at Assiut University, Egypt. I was a Full-Time Postdoctoral Fellow at Kangwon National University, South Korea. Currently, my main research interests are pathways and regulatory circuits that are specifically for fungi and generally for Microorganisms and Botany focus on and secondary metabolism.
Research Interests:Â Fungi as Bio-control agents against insect pests; Fungi as Biofertilizers for sustainable agriculture; and recently Isolation and Characterization of Neurochemicals-Producing Yeasts.
