Elena Mikhailovna Romanova

- Was Born on 01/11/1954 in Bryansk in a family of teachers, she entered in 1961 and graduated with honors from Bryansk Secondary School No. 40 in 1971, while successfully studying piano at a music school.
In 1971, she entered the Biology and Chemistry Faculty of Krasnoyarsk State University (Siberian Federal University). In 1976, she graduated from the university with honors, she was awarded the specialty: biologist, teacher of biology and chemistry.
At the University, she specialized in the Department of Human and Animal Physiology and Biochemistry. During her student years, E.M. Romanova was actively engaged in scientific work and successfully participated in student conferences of various levels.
In 1976, her thesis on biochemistry was recognized as the best student scientific work in this field, and its author was recommended for admission to graduate school. After graduating from the university from 1976 to 1979 in the Arctic, he was a biochemist in the intensive care unit of the city hospital of Norilsk. In 1979, she entered the graduate school of the Krasnoyarsk State University with a degree in biochemistry, her supervisor was Academician I.I. Gitelzon, Director of the Institute of Biophysics of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences.
The topic of the dissertation was devoted to the study of the role of membrane glycoproteins in the mechanism of erythrocyte aging. Since 1992, she has worked as a senior researcher at the research sector of the Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute, where she worked on the development of a new immunomodulator, thymosin. In 1994, she successfully defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Sciences at the Leningrad Research Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences.
After defending her dissertation, she worked in the Laboratory of Biochemistry at the Institute of Medical Problems of the North and taught at the Department of Biochemistry at the Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute. From 1987 to 1996, she worked at Krasnoyarsk Agrarian University as the head of the Department of Genetics and Biotechnology, supervised postgraduate studies in this field, and received the title of professor. She completed retraining at the Biotechnological Center of Moscow State University in the field of cellular and supracellular engineering. She created the laboratory of immunogenetics. In 1995, E.M. Romanova successfully defended her doctoral thesis in two specialties: ecology and genetics.
Since 1996, E.M. Romanov has been working as the head of the Department of Ulyanovsk State Agrarian University, providing postgraduate training in ecology. She established a Laboratory of Experimental Biology and Aquaculture at the Department, whose projects regularly received grant support from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and were twice awarded gold and silver medals by the Ministry of Agriculture. At the same time, she worked as the head of the Department of Bioecology at Ulyanovsk State University, and was a member of the doctoral Dissertation Council on Ecology.
E.M. Romanova is a member of the editorial board of two journals included in the list recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation. Ulyanovsk Medical and Biological Journal, and the Bulletin of the Ulyanovsk State Agricultural Academy is a journal from the core of the Russian Scientific Research Center (category K1).
E.M. Romanova has a total work experience of 48 years, including 43 years of scientific and pedagogical experience, 38 years as head of the department and head of postgraduate studies. The E.M. Romanova Scientific School has been twice certified as the Leading Scientific School in the Ulyanovsk region. She has trained 28 candidates of biological Sciences and 1 Doctor of Sciences in postgraduate studies.
For over 30 years, E.M. Romanova has been a member of doctoral dissertation councils. On the e-LIBRERY portal, she has 905 publications with a total of 10441 citations, including in journals from the RSCI - 457 core; she is the author of 5 monographs, 176 articles in journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission, 24 publications in peer-reviewed foreign journals indexed in Ssris and WoS, The RSCI indexed 353 student papers, which were supervised by E.M. Romanova. She has published over 30 educational and methodological publications and 33 scientific and methodological works devoted to the innovative methodology of higher education, she is the author of 4 inventions, the Hirsch index is 57.

She has a family: her husband, V.V. Romanov, is a candidate of technical sciences, an associate professor, her daughter is a candidate of law, and her son is an IT specialist.
