Dr. Ghada Yehia Hassanien Ahmed Zaghloul, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor

Egypt

I am an Egyptian assistant professor specializing in marine environmental chemistry, currently affiliated with the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), Hurghada, Egypt. Ph.D. in Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry from Al Azhar University, Egypt.
With a career spanning more than twenty years, Dr. Zaghloul began in quality control at VACSERA before moving into academia and marine research. Since 2016, as a member of the Marine Chemistry Laboratory at NIOF, my research has focused on the assessment of water and sediment quality, the monitoring of heavy metals, and the analysis of organic pollutants such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). My scientific work directly supports environmental impact assessments and contributes to the sustainable management of Egypt’s coastal and marine environments.
I have played significant roles in both national and international research projects, particularly those addressing marine pollution, biodiversity, and the application of nanotechnology in environmental remediation. I have actively participated in and organized conferences, workshops, and training programs focused on marine environmental protection and advanced analytical techniques.
As an academic, I have taught environmental and analytical chemistry at South Valley University. My scholarly output includes over 20 peer-reviewed publications covering topics such as marine pollution, ecological risk assessment, and fish safety in regions including the Red Sea, the Suez Canal, and various Egyptian lakes.
Beyond my research and teaching, I am committed to community outreach, science education, and raising environmental awareness. I am a member of several professional organizations and have received specialized training in environmental policy, crisis management, and scientific leadership.
